Members of The Churn Men’s Shed recently spent a rewarding day at Into Nature CIC’s Hailey Wood site, completing a bespoke workbench to support their outdoor learning and activities programme for individuals, schools, and community groups.
The workbench was carefully designed and constructed by Men’s Shed participants, who brought together their practical skills, experience and teamwork to deliver a sturdy and purposeful addition to the woodland setting. With IntoNature sourcing the wood materials with thanks to a community grant from the Wickes Community Programme.
The finished bench will now provide a dedicated workspace for Into Nature’s sessions, supporting hands-on activities and learning in the outdoors. The Into Nature team shared how pleased they were with the result, and we look forward to seeing it being put to good use by attending groups and participants.
This collaboration is a fantastic example of how shared skills and community connections can create meaningful impact. Through initiatives like Men’s Shed, participants not only contribute their expertise but also build confidence, purpose and social connections along the way.
