DESCRIPTION:Cheltenham Symphony Orchestra is coming to the Parish Church of St John Baptist in Cirencester for ‘A Celebration of Contrasts’. \nThe concert will begin with Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture\, a playful and exuberant tribute to student life\, brimming with good humour and spirited tunes.\nFrom there\, we enter the haunting beauty of Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony\, a masterpiece of lyrical melancholy and emotional depth\, forever suspended in a state of poetic incompletion.\nThe evening reaches its awe-inspiring climax with Saint-Saëns’ Symphony No. 3\, the magnificent “Organ Symphony\,” where orchestral brilliance meets the grandeur of the organ\, performed by Cirencester Parish Church’s very own Director of Music\, Thomas Hawkes. \nDate: Saturday 16th May 2026 \nTime: 7.30pm start \nThe concert is in support of The Churn Community Hub\, as we celebrate our 25th Anniversary. \nCelebrating  25 years of The Churn . is bringing you the Cheltenham Symphony Orchestra for Saturday 16th May with a theme of ‘celebration of contrasts’ hosted at Cirencester Parish Church which begins at 7:30pm and should last until 9:30pm. \nTickets: £22 & £19 £22 & £19 \nFull-time students: 50%\, ages 18 & under go free. \nAvailable to buy here: http://www.ticketsourcce.co.uk/cheltenhamsymphonyorchestra or by telephone booking: 0333 666 3366
